We're currently developing plans to expand Craigmount High School. The school currently has capacity for 1400 pupils and we plan to increase this to 1800. This project will provide the school with space and facilities to meet increasing demand for places from new housing developments in the local area.
The project proposals include a new building and reconfigurating some existing spaces. The school leadership have indicated a preference to build the extension on the grass field at the east side of the school.
The project is currently in the early development stages, and more information will be published as the project develops.
We will be organising public information sessions at key stages of the project. These sessions will provide a platform for feedback and comments on the proposals as we develop them in more detail.
If approved, we currently expect the work to be completed by the summer of 2029.
