ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ in 20 Maps: Charting 500 years of change

Chris Fleet, Map Curator at the National Library of Scotland, will explore ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿’s past through a carefully chosen sequence of 20 maps, spanning from the 1530s to the present day. Together, they trace the city’s physical growth, revealing how its streets, boundaries and landmarks have evolved over five centuries, alongside a steady expansion in cartographic detail.
This talk coincides with a mapping exhibition at Central Library (running from 1 June to 31 July 2026).
